Once upon a time...
It all started with three just graduated guys with loads of fantastic ideas to start a company.
Back in 1999, they started by selling smoothies at a music festival. With a “Who thinks we should leave our jobs to make smoothies?” sign and two buckets; one NO and other YES, for the customers to put their empties after tasting it, these entrepeneurs started their careers from a full YES bin to a full YES market.
Since then Innocent drinks have experience major growth, selling veg pots, juices and kids' drinks, always having in mind their motto of making “natural, delicious, healthy foods that help people live well and die old” (Innocent drinks, 2014 [Online]).
This brand has won various awards for their companies's modus operandi. But, more than being excellent on what they produce, they are examplar in how they do it! In the ‘Fruit Towers’ headquarters, one of the UKs most enjoyable workplaces, reflecting 'work hard enjoing harder', the workers feel like home is at work.
As for Innocent employees, "Richard hires individuals that don’t want to stick around" (McCahill L., 2013). By contracting workers with entrepreneurial spirit and that want to reach further, means to have ambitious people working around you, and that is precisely what the CEO is looking for. "They’ll work towards making a company they’re proud of treating the business as if it were their own" (McCahill L., 2013).
